Olio, 2021
A film about a spiritual elevation through pointless repetition.
“OLIO” is a short art movie that explores the meaning that gestures and words acquire through repetition. The concept stems from a reflection on language and semiotics, which we found to be particularly topical in an era of easily distorted messages.
Drawing on the collaborators’ shared experiences growing up in a Catholic country, the ritualistic behaviour of religious ceremonies is reimagined in a surreal, oniric way, stripped of all the reassuring familiar references.
Project in collaboration with Francesca Landi
Talents: Valeria Ioan, Sabina Reghellin, Francesca Landi, Daniele Mondin and Mariachiara Rigoni
Music designed by Crosswhen
